Рассмотрим ножничную рычажную систему, соединенную с пружиной, которая растягивается под определенным углом.
При наличии внешней силы пружина растягивается и система претерпевает виртуальное смещение. В этом состоянии только сила пружины и внешняя сила вносят свой вклад в работу.
Для определения угла отклонения для поддержания равновесия системы определяются координаты положения двух сил относительно неподвижной точки.
Затем оценивается величина, на которую пружина сжимается, и соответствующая сила пружины.
Дифференцирование координат положения дает виртуальные перемещения, соответствующие двум силам.
Внешняя сила действует в направлении виртуального смещения, поэтому она положительно работает. Между тем, сила пружины действует противоположно виртуальному смещению и выполняет отрицательную работу.
Далее на основе принципа виртуальной работы записывается уравнение виртуальной работы для системы.
Решая уравнение виртуальной работы для заданной силы, можно получить угол, необходимый для поддержания равновесия ножничной рычажной системы.

Принцип виртуальной работы: решение задач

Принцип виртуальной работы является ключевым понятием в области механики и инженерии. Он используется для решения задач, связанных с равновесием структуры или системы. Он основан на предположении, что если система находится в равновесии, то работа, выполненная всеми силами во время виртуального перемещения, равна нулю. Этот принцип применяется путём рассмотрения виртуальных перемещений системы и соответствующей работы, выполненной внутренними и внешними силами.

Для решения задачи с помощью принципа виртуальной работы сначала необходимо определить неизвестные силы и моменты, существующие в системе. Затем оценивается работа, выполненная этими силами и моментами во время гипотетического виртуального перемещения системы. Виртуальное перемещение очень мало и представляет собой гипотетическое перемещение, которое претерпевает система. Это позволяет определить каждую силу и момент, действующий на систему, и работу, выполненную ими во время этого виртуального перемещения.

Затем записывается уравнение виртуальной работы для системы, используя принцип виртуальной работы. Это уравнение учитывает виртуальные перемещения и соответствующую работу, выполненную каждой силой и моментом, действующим на систему. Наконец, решение уравнения виртуальной работы даёт значения неизвестных сил и моментов в системе.

The principle of virtual work helps find unknown forces and moments in equilibrium problems. It is an important idea in mechanics and engineering. The method uses a small, hypothetical motion called a virtual displacement. If the system is in equilibrium, the work done by the forces during that displacement is zero.

To apply this principle, the positions of the internal and external forces must be written in terms of one common coordinate parameter. That parameter can be an angle, a distance, or another displacement that fits the problem. After the coordinates are written this way, the virtual displacements are found by differentiating the coordinate expressions. These displacements are hypothetical, but they show how the system could move.

Virtual work is then found from the forces acting on the system. An external force does positive work when it moves in the same direction as its virtual displacement. Internal forces do negative work when they oppose their virtual displacements. This sign difference is part of the virtual-work equation.

To solve a problem, first identify the unknown forces and moments in the system. Next, evaluate the work done during a virtual displacement. Then write the virtual-work equation for the whole system. Solving that equation gives the values of the unknown forces and moments. This approach is useful for complex systems with many connected parts.
