В системе только с пропорциональным управлением распространенными проблемами являются высокий максимальный выброс и колебания, наблюдаемые как в сигнале ошибки, так и в скорости его изменения. Это поведение можно разделить на три отдельные фазы: начальный выброс, последующий недобор и постепенная стабилизация.

Рассмотрим пример управления крутящим моментом двигателя. Изначально положительный сигнал ошибки вызывает быстрое увеличение положительного крутящего момента двигателя. Этот скачок крутящего момента приводит к значительному выходному выбросу и колебаниям, связанным с высокой силой и недостаточным демпфированием. Выход системы превышает желаемое значение, что отражает чрезмерную начальную коррекцию пропорционального управления и слабое сопротивление.

На втором этапе отрицательный сигнал ошибки создает отрицательный крутящий момент двигателя, который замедляет выход, заставляя его не доходить до целевого значения. Этот недобор указывает на склонность системы к избыточной компенсации в противоположном направлении после первоначального перерегулирования (выброса) . Уменьшение крутящего момента на этом этапе замедляет выход, однако отсутствие адекватного демпфирования приводит к колебательному поведению.

На заключительной фазе положительный крутящий момент двигателя снова появляется, уменьшая недобор с предыдущей фазы. Каждое колебание сопровождается уменьшением амплитуды ошибки, что постепенно стабилизирует выход системы. Высокая начальная коррекция и слабое сопротивление, вызвавшие выброс, уравновешиваются увеличенным сопротивлением и уменьшенной силой коррекции в этой фазе.

ПД-управление эффективно решает эти проблемы, вводя упреждающие корректировки на основе наклона сигнала ошибки. Этот упреждающий механизм позволяет системе предсказывать и корректировать свое направление, смягчая чрезмерный выброс и уменьшая амплитуду колебаний. Регулируя скорость реакции системы, ПД-управление точно настраивает начальную силу коррекции и усиливает сопротивление, что приводит к меньшему (перерегулированию) выбросу и (недорегулированию) недобору. pd control reduces overshoot in motor torque

PD control helps reduce overshoot and oscillation in motor torque systems. Proportional control uses the size of the error signal to set the correction. When the response is too large or too small, the output can move away from the target and then swing back.

With proportional control alone, the system often goes through three stages. First, a positive error signal creates a rapidly rising positive motor torque. That strong push can cause a large overshoot because the system has high force but not enough damping, which is the resistance that helps slow motion.

Next, the error signal turns negative. This produces negative motor torque, which slows the output and can make it undershoot the target. The system then overcorrects in the opposite direction, and the lack of damping keeps the motion oscillating.

In the final stage, positive motor torque appears again and reduces the undershoot. Each new swing becomes smaller as the error amplitude drops and the output settles closer to the desired value. PD control improves this behavior by adding an anticipatory adjustment based on the slope, or rate of change, of the error signal. That extra correction helps predict the direction of the error, lowers overshoot and undershoot, and makes the output more stable.
