Description

Emergency cricothyrotomy provides airway access when endotracheal intubation has failed and ventilation is getting worse or is not possible. This is the feared "can’t intubate, can’t ventilate" situation. In that setting, cricothyrotomy is the surgical airway procedure of choice.
