Einstein's Theory of Gravity
Isaac Newton described gravity as a force pulling objects with mass toward each other, explaining motions such as falling apples and planets orbiting the Sun.
In the 1900s, Albert Einstein introduced general relativity. While Newton saw gravity as a pulling force, Einstein explained it as the bending of space-time caused by massive objects.
Imagine space-time as a giant, flexible fabric. Massive objects like planets and stars create dents in this fabric.
Picture a trampoline with a bowling ball placed in the center. The trampoline bends, and a smaller ball near it will roll toward the bowling ball. This is similar to how Einstein’s theory describes gravity.
Instead of being pulled, objects move along the curves in space-time created by massive objects.
The Sun bends the space-time around it, making Earth follow a curved orbit as it moves through this “fabric.”
This theory also explains extreme phenomena like black holes, where space-time bends so dramatically that not even light can escape.
