Biography

Chef d’Unité de Recherche at the Laboratory of AIDS Immunopathogenesis, CHUV, Lausanne since 1996. Italian by birth, spent most of her life in US and Switzerland. Postdoctoral studies at Yale University, Biology Department (1987-1988) and at National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Malaria Section (1988-1990). Visiting scientist at the NIAID, Laboratory of Immunoregulation (1990-1996). Executive MBA in Management of Technology (MoT), under the joined sponsorship of EPFL and HEC – Unil, in Lausanne (2007). Speaks fluent Italian, English and French, has good knowledge of Spanish, has just acquired level HSKII of Mandarin Chinese, and has a basic grasp of German.
