Retinoic acid is used to differentiate iPSCs into mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) which are used for producing adipocytes. Then, a sorting approach based on Nile red staining is used to obtain pure adipocytes. This is achieved by replenishing the fresh matrix, manipulating cell density, and dissociating the endodermal cells.
