Matlab Image Analysis

MATLAB image analysis is a computational approach for processing digital images and extracting quantitative information, making visual patterns measurable and reproducible in biological research. Using MATLAB functions and toolboxes, researchers can enhance images with filtering, separate structures through thresholding or segmentation, and calculate features such as area, intensity, shape, and texture from individual pixels or regions. These workflows support microscopy-based analysis of cells, tissues, organisms, and experimental phenotypes, including cell counting, morphology assessment, and spatial measurements. By reducing manual scoring and enabling automated, repeatable analysis, MATLAB image analysis helps connect visual observations with statistical and biological conclusions.
