Spray Tank System

A spray tank system is an engineered assembly that stores, mixes, conditions, and delivers liquid formulations for controlled application. Its operation typically combines a tank, pump, suction and return lines, filters, valves, and spray nozzles: the pump circulates liquid to maintain a uniform mixture, while pressure and nozzle design regulate flow rate and droplet distribution. In agricultural, industrial, and environmental applications, these systems support consistent coverage, accurate dosing, and efficient use of water or treatment solutions. Proper selection of tank materials, agitation, filtration, and pressure controls helps prevent clogging, reduce waste, protect equipment, and improve the reliability and safety of liquid spraying processes.

2016

We present protocols to be used in the measurement of spray droplet size from agricultural nozzles used in both aerial and ground based agrochemical applications. These methods presented were developed to provide consistent and repeatable droplet size data both inter- and intra-laboratory, when using laser diffraction systems.

Here we present a low cost, durable cryotolerant device for sample retrieval from Dewar tanks filled with liquid nitrogen. The ease of construction and modular design of the device makes the process of sample retrieval from cryogenic tanks safe and easy.

Novel Tank Diving Assay: A Method to Study Innate Stress Responses in Zebrafish

2023

The article describes a behavioral method to assess stress in zebrafish. In response to stress, zebrafish tends to swim at bottom of a tank until stress is removed. The sample protocol describes stepwise method for performing the assay.

A Spray Inoculation Technique to Establish Fungal Infection in Rice Plant Leaves

The topical anesthetic lidocaine was atomized using a high oxygen flow through the working channel of a flexible intubating endoscope to achieve topical airway anesthesia for awake endotracheal intubation. We prefer this modified spray-as-you-go technique for endoscopic intubation to classical bolus application because of higher patient satisfaction and better compliance.
