Air Sample Filters

Air sample filters are collection devices that capture airborne particles and contaminants for measurement, identification, or monitoring of environmental quality. As a known volume of air passes through a filter, particles are retained by mechanisms such as interception, impaction, diffusion, or electrostatic attraction, with collection efficiency influenced by filter material, pore size, airflow rate, and particle characteristics. Researchers use the collected material for gravimetric analysis, chemical testing, microscopy, or biological assessment. Air sample filters support studies of particulate matter, occupational and indoor air pollution, industrial emissions, and atmospheric transport, providing evidence for exposure assessment, pollution control, and environmental health research.

Passive Filters

2024

Passive filters are utilized to shape the frequency spectrum of signals across a diverse array of applications. These filters, using only passive elements like resistors (R), inductors (L), and capacitors (C), are capable of selectively allowing or blocking certain frequency ranges without the need for external power sources. Low-Pass Filters Low-pass filters are designed to transmit signals with frequencies lower than the cutoff frequency, ωc, and attenuate those above it. The cutoff frequency...
