Personalized Intervention

Personalized intervention is a psychological approach that tailors assessment, treatment, or behavior-change strategies to an individual’s characteristics, needs, preferences, and circumstances. It uses information such as symptom patterns, personal goals, developmental context, and responses to previous support to select, adapt, or sequence intervention components rather than applying one standard protocol to everyone. In psychology, personalized interventions can improve engagement, strengthen the fit between a person and a treatment, and support more targeted evaluation of outcomes. This approach is relevant to psychotherapy, prevention, education, and digital mental-health programs, where ongoing assessment can guide adjustments as needs change.
