Online Survey

An online survey is a research method that collects responses to structured questions through the internet, enabling efficient measurement of opinions, behaviors, characteristics, or experiences across a defined population. Participants typically access a web-based questionnaire, select or enter answers, and submit data that researchers organize, summarize, and analyze using descriptive or inferential statistics; sampling design, question wording, response rates, and missing data can affect validity. In statistics, online surveys support population estimation, hypothesis testing, needs assessment, and trend analysis, while careful recruitment and attention to coverage and nonresponse bias help produce more reliable conclusions.
