The diploid woodland strawberry, Fragaria vesca, is being recognized as a model for the more complex octoploid commercial strawberry, FragariaÂ Ã—Â ananassa. F. vesca exhibits a short seed to seed cycle, can be easily transformed by Agrobacteria, and a draft genome sequence has been published. These features, together with its similar flower structure, potentially make F. vesca a good model for studying the flower development of other members of the Rosaceae family, which contains many economically important fruit trees and ornamental plants. To propel F. vesca's role in genetic and genomic research and to facilitate the study of its reproductive development, we have investigated in detail F. vesca flower and early fruit development using a seventh generation inbred diploid line, Yellow Wonder 5AF7. We present here standardized developmental staging and detailed descriptions of morphological changes associated with flower and early fruit development based on images of hand dissected flowers, histological sections, and scanning electron microscopy. In situ hybridization with the F. vesca AGAMOUS homolog, FvAG, showed expression in young stamen and carpel primordia. This work lays the essential groundwork and standardization for future molecular, genetic, and genomic studies of F. vesca.

F. vesca pr&#xE9;sente une graine courte au cycle des semences, peut &#xEA;tre facilement transform&#xE9; par Agrobacterium, et un projet de s&#xE9;quen&#xE7;age du g&#xE9;nome a &#xE9;t&#xE9; publi&#xE9;. Pour propulser le r&#xF4;le F. vesca en mati&#xE8;re de recherche g&#xE9;n&#xE9;tique et g&#xE9;nomique et de faciliter l&#x26;#39;&#xE9;tude de son d&#xE9;veloppement en mati&#xE8;re de reproduction, nous avons &#xE9;tudi&#xE9; en d&#xE9;tail F. vesca et fleur d&#xE9;veloppement pr&#xE9;coce du fruit &#xE0; l&#x26;#39;aide d&#x26;#39;une ligne de la septi&#xE8;me g&#xE9;n&#xE9;ration diplo&#xEF;de consanguine, 5AF7 Wonder Jaune. Nous pr&#xE9;sentons ici standardis&#xE9;e mise en sc&#xE8;ne du d&#xE9;veloppement et des descriptions d&#xE9;taill&#xE9;es des modifications morphologiques associ&#xE9;es &#xE0; la fleur et le d&#xE9;veloppement pr&#xE9;coce du fruit bas&#xE9; sur des images de fleurs des mains diss&#xE9;qu&#xE9;es, les coupes histologiques, et microscopie &#xE9;lectronique &#xE0; balayage. L&#x26;#39;hybridation in situ avec l&#x26;#39;homologue vesca F. AGAMOUS, FvAG, a montr&#xE9; une expression chez les jeunes &#xE9;tamine et primordiums de carpelles. Ce travail pose les bases essentielles et de la normalisation pour les futures &#xE9;tudes mol&#xE9;culaires, g&#xE9;n&#xE9;tiques et g&#xE9;nomiques de F. vesca.

Vesca Blume und Frucht-Werdegang mit einem siebten Generation durch Inzucht diploide Linie, Yellow Wonder 5AF7 untersucht. Hier pr&auml;sentieren wir Ihnen standardisierte Entwicklungs-Inszenierung und detaillierte Beschreibungen der morphologische Ver&auml;nderungen im Zusammenhang mit Blumen und Obst-Werdegang basiert auf Bildern von Hand zerlegt Blumen, histologische Abschnitte und Rasterelektronenmikroskopie. El bosque de diploide fresa, Fragaria vesca, est&#xE1; siendo reconocido como un modelo para el m&#xE1;s complejo de fresa octoploide comercial, Fragaria x ananassa. F. vesca exhibe una semilla de ciclo corto para las semillas, pueden ser f&#xE1;cilmente transformados por Agrobacterium, y una secuencia del genoma del proyecto se ha publicado. Estas caracter&#xED;sticas, junto con su estructura de la flor similar, potencialmente, hacer F. vesca un buen modelo para estudiar el desarrollo de la flor de los otros miembros de la familia de las ros&#xE1;ceas, que contiene muchos &#xE1;rboles frutales de importancia econ&#xF3;mica y plantas ornamentales. Para impulsar el papel F. vesca en la investigaci&#xF3;n gen&#xE9;tica y gen&#xF3;mica y para facilitar el estudio de su desarrollo reproductivo, hemos investigado en detalle F. vesca desarrollo de flores y fruta temprana utilizando una l&#xED;nea de s&#xE9;ptima generaci&#xF3;n diploide endog&#xE1;mica, 5AF7 maravilla amarilla. Se presenta aqu&#xED; el desarrollo de ensayo normalizados y descripciones detalladas de los cambios morfol&#xF3;gicos asociados con la flor y el desarrollo de la fruta temprana con base en im&#xE1;genes de flores de manos disecadas, las secciones histol&#xF3;gicas y microscop&#xED;a electr&#xF3;nica de barrido. Hibridaci&#xF3;n in situ con el hom&#xF3;logo F. vesca AGAMOUS, FvAG, mostr&#xF3; que la expresi&#xF3;n en los j&#xF3;venes el estambre y carpelo primordios. Este trabajo sienta las bases esenciales y la normalizaci&#xF3;n para futuros estudios moleculares, gen&#xE9;ticos, gen&#xF3;micos y de F. vesca.
