Infectious diseases are the most common medical complication after cerebral ischemia, inpairing both the neurological and the general medical outcome. The most frequent infectious complications are bacterial pneumonia and urinary tract infections. There is a growing body of evidence that a secondary immunosuppressive state accounts for the increased risk of infection following stroke. Infections do not only have an important impact on outcome after stroke but also are known risk factors for stroke. Thus, suitable models for investigating the relation between infections and stroke are urgently needed. Elucidating the underlying mechanisms might facilitate the development of new therapeutic strategies and improve patient outcome. Here we present recent insights into the relationship between infections and stroke, based on experimental models of post-stroke infection. In addition we give a brief overview of models that explore the impact on stroke of preceding infections.

Les complications infectieuses les plus fr&eacute;quentes sont les infections bact&eacute;riennes des voies urinaires et de pneumonie. Il y a un nombre croissant de preuves qu&#39;un &Eacute;tat immunosuppresseur secondaire repr&eacute;sente le risque accru d&#39;infection &agrave; la suite d&#39;accidents vasculaires c&eacute;r&eacute;braux. Infections ne pas seulement avoir un impact important sur le r&eacute;sultat apr&egrave;s un AVC, mais aussi sont connues des facteurs de risque d&#39;accident vasculaire c&eacute;r&eacute;bral. Ainsi, des mod&egrave;les appropri&eacute;s pour enqu&ecirc;ter sur la relation entre les infections et les accidents vasculaires c&eacute;r&eacute;braux sont urgent. &Eacute;lucider les m&eacute;canismes sous-jacents pourrait faciliter le d&eacute;veloppement de nouvelles strat&eacute;gies th&eacute;rapeutiques et am&eacute;liorer les r&eacute;sultats pour les patients. Infektionskrankheiten sind die h&auml;ufigsten medizinischen Komplikation nach zerebraler Isch&auml;mie, inpairing sowohl die neurologischen und das allgemeine medizinische Ergebnis. Die h&auml;ufigsten infekti&ouml;sen Komplikationen sind bakterielle Lungenentz&uuml;ndung und Harnwege Infektionen. Es gibt eine wachsende Zahl von beweisen, dass das erh&ouml;hte Risiko einer Infektion nach Schlaganfall ein sekund&auml;rer immunsuppressive Staat entfallen. Infektionen haben nicht nur einen wichtigen Einfluss auf Ergebnis nach Schlaganfall aber auch Risikofaktoren f&uuml;r Schlaganfall bekannt sind. Geeignete Modelle f&uuml;r die Untersuchung der Beziehung zwischen Infektionen und Strich sind daher dringend erforderlich. Elucidating die zugrunde liegenden Mechanismen k&ouml;nnten erleichtern die Entwicklung neuer therapeutischer Strategien und geduldig Ergebnis verbessern. Hier pr&auml;sentieren wir aktuelle Einblicke in das Verh&auml;ltnis zwischen Infektionen und Schlaganfall, basierend auf experimentelle Modelle der Hirninfarkt-Infektion. Zus&auml;tzlich geben wir eine kurze &Uuml;bersicht &uuml;ber Modelle, die die Auswirkungen auf Strich der vorangegangenen Infektionen zu erkunden.

C&#39;&egrave; un crescente corpo di evidenze che uno stato secondario immunosoppressivo conti per l&#39;aumento del rischio di infezione dopo ictus. Infezioni non solo hanno un impatto importante sull&#39;esito dopo ictus, ma sono anche noti fattori di rischio per l&#39;ictus. Cos&igrave;, modelli adatti per indagare la relazione tra infezioni e ictus sono urgentemente necessari. Las enfermedades infecciosas son la complicaci&oacute;n m&eacute;dica m&aacute;s com&uacute;n tras la isquemia cerebral, inpairing tanto el neurol&oacute;gico y el resultado m&eacute;dico general. Las complicaciones infecciosas m&aacute;s frecuentes son las infecciones bacterianas de la neumon&iacute;a y las v&iacute;as urinarias. Hay un creciente cuerpo de evidencia que un estado inmunosupresor secundario representa el mayor riesgo de infecci&oacute;n despu&eacute;s de accidente cerebrovascular. Las infecciones no s&oacute;lo tienen un impacto importante sobre el resultado despu&eacute;s del accidente cerebrovascular, pero tambi&eacute;n son conocidas factores de riesgo para el accidente cerebrovascular. Por lo tanto, se necesitan urgentemente modelos adecuados para investigar a la relaci&oacute;n entre las infecciones y accidente cerebrovascular. Dilucidar los mecanismos subyacentes podr&iacute;a facilitar el desarrollo de nuevas estrategias terap&eacute;uticas y mejorar los resultados de los pacientes. Aqu&iacute; presentamos las &uacute;ltimas ideas sobre la relaci&oacute;n entre las infecciones y movimiento, basado en modelos experimentales de infecci&oacute;n posterior al accidente cerebrovascular. Adem&aacute;s, le damos una breve descripci&oacute;n de los modelos que explora el impacto en tiempos de infecciones anteriores.
