Recently, we showed that transplantation of 100-300 c-Kit(+) stem cells isolated from cultured salispheres ameliorates radiation-damage in murine salivary glands. The aim of this study is to optimize and translate these findings from mice to man.

Recientemente, hemos demostrado que el trasplante de c&eacute;lulas c-Kit(+) 100-300 aislados de salispheres cultivadas mejora el da&ntilde;o de la radiaci&oacute;n en las gl&aacute;ndulas salivales murinas. El objetivo de este estudio es optimizar y traducir estos resultados de ratones al hombre.

Stem cell therapy could be a potential way for reducing radiation-induced hyposalivation and improving the patient's quality of life. However, the identification and purification of salivary gland stem cells have not been accomplished. This study aims to better characterize the stem/progenitor cell population with regenerative potential residing in the mouse salivary gland.

Cependant, l&#39;identification et la purification des cellules souches des glandes salivaires n&#39;ont pas &eacute;t&eacute; ex&eacute;cut&eacute;es. Cette &eacute;tude vise &agrave; mieux caract&eacute;riser la population des cellules souches/prog&eacute;nitrices avec potentiel de r&eacute;g&eacute;n&eacute;ration qui r&eacute;sident dans la glande salivaire de souris.

Allerdings haben die Identifizierung und die Reinigung der Speicheldr&uuml;se Stammzellen nicht erreicht worden. Diese Studie soll die Vorbau/Stammvater Zellpopulation mit regenerative Potenzial in der Maus-Speicheldr&uuml;se wohnten besser zu charakterisieren.

Terapia de c&eacute;lulas madre podr&iacute;a ser una manera potencial para reducir hiposalivaci&oacute;n inducida por radiaci&oacute;n y mejorar la calidad de vida de la paciente. Sin embargo, la identificaci&oacute;n y purificaci&oacute;n de c&eacute;lulas de la gl&aacute;ndula salival no se han logrado.
