Margit Alt Murphy

Brandon Murphy is a Graduate Fellow in the Department of Cancer Biology and Genetics at The Ohio State University. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees in Biotechnology from Indiana University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology.

While pursuing his Ph.D., Brandon developed an interest in research revolving around oncogenic signaling and tumor formation. Utilizing in vivo murine models and an array of molecular and cellular technique, Brandon has begun elucidating pathways essential for Ras-driven tumor initiation. Moving forward, he plans on pursuing a post-doctoral position in route to becoming a researcher in academia.

Brandon has received numerous travel awards and internal fellowships during his Ph.D., and was also awarded an NIH F31 Fellowship.
