Biography

Kenichi Yazaki is a researcher at the Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute in Japan. He studied wood anatomy in Hokkaido University, Hokkaido, Japan. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2001 from the Hokkaido University, with a thesis on the effect of elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide on wood formation of the seedlings of Larix species. His main study area in FFPRI is tree physiology and tree anatomy, especially water relation of trees under abiotic and biotic stresses.
