Biography

Emily Lees is a Clinical PhD student at the University of Cambridge / Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, working in Professor Gordon Dougan's group. She studied medicine at the University of Sheffield, and graduated MBChB(Hons) in 2008. She completed the Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2010, and undertook an Academic Clinical Fellowship in Paediatrics at the University of Liverpool, prior to commencing her PhD.

Emily Lees’ scientific interest is modelling host-pathogen interactions in enteric bacteria, with a particular focus on Salmonellae.
