Biography

Dr Larissa Fabritz studies novel mechanisms of heart disease and performs translational research towards mechanism-based therapies of cardiovascular diseases at the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, University of Birmingham, UK.

Larissa engages in research in molecular mechanisms of cardiomyopathies and arrhythmias as well as molecular cardiovascular imaging with her research cluster "Translational research on heart failure and arrhythmias" at the University of Birmingham.

Larissa collaborates with groups in Europe, North America and world-wide.

As an honorary clinical consultant, Larissa sees patients in the Department of Cardiology at the University Hospital Birmingham.
