Biography

Our lab mainly focuses on epigenetic mechanisms especially DNA and RNA modifications in adult neurogenesis and neurological disorders. We have found that 5-hydroxymethylcytosine in genome and N6-methyladenosine in mRNA play essential roles in regulating adult neurogenesis. Our long term aim is to uncover the function of these epigenetic modifications in neuronal developmental and degenerative diseases.
