Biography

Jessica Sherman is a Biological Science Technician at the Environmentally Integrated Dairy Management Unit of the USDA-ARS Dairy Forage Research Center in Marshfield, WI. She received her undergraduate degree with honors in Environmental Science from St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA, and a M.S. in Plant, Soil, and Environmental Science from the University of Maine, Orono, ME.

Jessica Sherman’s research interests focus on soil and water quality, nutrient cycling, manure management, and greenhouse gas emissions. Her goals are to primarily answer the questions dairy farmers in central Wisconsin are asking about reducing the environmental impacts of manure application while maintaining yield and feed quality goals.
