Dr. Yasith Mathangasinghe graduated from Faculty of Medicine, University of Clombo in 2016 with Second Class Upper Division Honours and distinctions in biochemistry, forensic medicine, parasitology and obstetrics and gynaecology, winning Professor T Visvanathan Gold Medal for the excellence in clinical obstetrics and gynaecology. Having completed his internship in National Hospital of Sri Lanka, he joined the Department of Anatomy as a lecturer in 2018. He has numerous peer reviewed publications and over 30 communications at scientific meetings. He was awarded the prize for the best paper at several national and international fora. His research interests are applied anatomy and neuroscience.
