Dr. Balog received her B.S. in Biology from the California Institute of Technology in 2006 and her Ph.D. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2012. She conducted postdoctoral research at Los Alamos National Laboratory's Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies before joining the faculty of the University of New England in Biddeford, ME, USA in 2014. Her research focuses on protein engineering, biochemistry, and biophysics for materials applications.
