Director clinic and clinical research (2012-2019) Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal.

Research interest • His research interests focus on the role of lung epithelial cells in the pathophysiology of diseases such as cystic fibrosis or pulmonary oedema. More specifically, he is working to shed light on the interaction between the inflammatory response and epithelial dysfunction in these diseases. More recently, he has also explored the inflammatory response in cystic fibrosis and more specifically its interaction with the development of cystic fibrosis related diabetes. Funding from CIHR and Cystic Fibrosis Canada, has supported his research since 1986. He has published more than 125 papers and supervised numerous students (>25).
