Biography

Andreas Schreiber is post-doctoral fellow in synthetic biology at the University of Freiburg. He is working on the assembly of protein based supramolecular structures and smart materials for drug delivery and artificial cell design.

During his PhD at the Freiburg Institute of Advanced Studies (FRIAS) he investigated biohybrid nano structures with enhanced plasmonic, magnetic and fluorescent properties. He established an efficient self assembly approach to align different metal nanoparticles using geometrically confined protein adapters, guiding the supramolecular structure formation.
