Research Area
Dr. Carroll's research and development interests combine investigations into the pathophysiology of severe and cerebral malaria, pediatric critical care capacity building, and appropriate medical technology development for low- and middle-income countries. He works with the MassGen Hospital for Children (MGHfC) divisions of Pediatric Global Health and Pediatric Critical Care, developing didactics and a robust training platform for domestic and international trainees, in addition to building pediatric critical care services in several global locations.
