Tao Chen is a postdoctoral associate in Huffington Center on Aging, Baylor College of Medicine. He received his Bachelor and then PhD in Peking University, China.
Tao Chen received his PhD training (2010-2016) on applications of novel technologies, specifically nonlinear optical microscopy, in study the dynamics in living organism. He visualized non-fluorescent nanodiamonds and gold nanorods in live cells with transient absorption microscopy in Dr. Yanyi Huang's lab at Peking University. He worked on stimulated Raman scattering microscopy in the Huang lab to study chemical contents in live animals, and bio-orthogonal labeling of small molecules. He worked in Princeton University on physical chemistry shortly and joined Dr. Meng Wang's lab at Baylor College of Medicine in 2019. He continues to study the chemical content in animals with hyperspectral stimulated Raman scattering.
