Biography

Sister M. Pieta Keller, FSGM, is an Innovation Engineer for Jump Simulation and Education Center part of OSF HealthCare based in Peoria, Illinois. Sister entered the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, a Catholic religious community, in Alton, Illinois in 2013. Joining the Jump team in 2018, she works in the segmentation and virtual reality space for clinical and education use, simulation trainer design, prototyping for the clinical space, and STEAM education in the community and hospital.

Before entering the convent she obtained a Biomedical Engineering degree from Purdue University. During her years of study, she was a design engineering co-op for Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a minimally invasive surgical company. After graduation, she began working at OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony’s Heath Center, in Alton, as a biomedical engineering technician and continued working in the hospital at different capacities.
