Biography

Lynn Doran is a research technician at the Institute for Genomic Biology at the University of Illinois. Her research focuses on translating findings from the Realizing Increased

Photosynthetic Efficiency (RIPE) project research into crops to increase food production. She specializes in molecular phenotyping of genotype, gene expression, and protein expression of transgenic plants as well as characterizing photoprotection of plants via chlorophyll fluorescence. Lynn received her bachelor's degrees in animal science at Colorado State University and has over 15 years of experience in benchwork spanning food science, oil and gas scientific instrumentation, and plant and animal research science.
