Biography

After completing my Master in Biology at Rostock University, I moved to Bern where I obtained my Ph.D. in Neurobiology under the supervision of Benoit Zuber studying synaptic vesicle exocytosis. During my postdoc in Copenhagen with Jakob Sørensen I studied the effects of SNARE mutations on cultured primary neurons by cryo-ET.

Following the postdoc, I moved to the UK, where I am now working as Electron Microscope Scientist at the Electron Bio-Imaging Centre (eBIC) at Diamond Light Source.
