Proper interpretation of BOLD fMRI and other common functional imaging methods requires an understanding of neurovascular coupling. We used laser speckle-contrast optical imaging to measure blood-flow responses in rat somatosensory cortex elicited by brief (2 s) forepaw stimulation. Results show a large increase in local blood flow speed followed by an undershoot and possible late-time oscillations. The blood flow measurements were modeled using the impulse response of a simple linear network, a four-element windkessel. This model yielded excellent fits to the detailed time courses of activated regions. The four-element windkessel model thus provides a simple explanation and interpretation of the transient blood-flow response, both its initial peak and its late-time behavior.

Une interpr&#xE9;tation correcte de l&#x26;#39;IRMf BOLD et autres m&#xE9;thodes courantes d&#x26;#39;imagerie fonctionnelle n&#xE9;cessite une compr&#xE9;hension du couplage neurovasculaire. Nous avons utilis&#xE9; granularit&#xE9; laser-de contraste en imagerie optique pour mesurer les r&#xE9;ponses du d&#xE9;bit sanguin chez le rat cortex somatosensoriel provoqu&#xE9; par la stimulation patte courte (2 s). Les r&#xE9;sultats montrent une forte augmentation de la vitesse du flux sanguin locale suivie d&#x26;#39;une undershoot et possibles en fin de temps des oscillations. Les mesures de d&#xE9;bit de sang ont &#xE9;t&#xE9; mod&#xE9;lis&#xE9;es &#xE0; l&#x26;#39;aide de la r&#xE9;ponse impulsionnelle d&#x26;#39;un r&#xE9;seau lin&#xE9;aire simple, un &#xE0; quatre &#xE9;l&#xE9;ments Windkessel. Richtige Interpretation des BOLD fMRT und anderen gemeinsamen funktionellen bildgebenden Verfahren erfordert ein Verst&auml;ndnis der Neurovaskul&auml;re Kopplung. Wir Laser-Speckle-Kontrast-optische-imaging zur Durchblutung in Ratte somatosensorischen Kortex hervorgerufen durch kurze Massstab (2 s) Forepaw Stimulierung. Corretta interpretazione della fMRI grassetto e altri metodi di imaging funzionale comune richiede una comprensione dell&#39;accoppiamento neurovascolare. Abbiamo usato il laser contrasto speckle imaging ottico per misurare le risposte del flusso sanguigno nella corteccia somatosensoriale ratto ha suscitato dalla breve (2 s) stimolazione della zampa anteriore. Una correcta interpretaci&#xF3;n de resonancia magn&#xE9;tica funcional BOLD y otros m&#xE9;todos comunes de imagen funcional requiere una comprensi&#xF3;n de acoplamiento neurovascular. Se utiliz&#xF3; l&#xE1;ser de manchas de contraste de imagen &#xF3;ptico para medir el flujo sangu&#xED;neo-respuestas, en la rata corteza somatosensorial provocados por la estimulaci&#xF3;n breve pata (2 s). Los resultados muestran un gran aumento en la velocidad del flujo sangu&#xED;neo local, seguido de un aterrizaje corto y las posibles oscilaciones de &#xFA;ltima hora. Las mediciones de flujo de sangre se basa en utilizar la respuesta al impulso de una red lineal simple, un receptor de aire de cuatro elementos. Este modelo dio excelentes accesos a los cursos de tiempo detalladas de regiones activadas. El modelo de los cuatro elementos-receptor de aire por lo tanto ofrece una sencilla explicaci&#xF3;n y la interpretaci&#xF3;n de la transitoria del flujo sangu&#xED;neo de respuesta, tanto en su pico inicial y su comportamiento de &#xFA;ltima hora.
