Daniel R. Marzolf

Daniel Marzolf is a PhD graduate student in the Biophysics Graduate Program at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree in Biophysical Chemistry from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

While at James Madison, Daniel, under Dr. Oleksandr Kokhan, researched heme-containing cytochromes to elucidate rate-determining mechanisms of small molecule-protein charge-transfer interactions. In addition, the water-soluble porphyrin induced multimerization of solution-state proteins was examined during his time at James Madison. Since continuing onto Ohio, Daniel joined Dr. Steffen Lindert's lab developing methodology to link experimentally-determined hydrogen-deuterium exchange rates and computational protein structure prediction using the Rosetta software suite framework.
