Biography

Carly Hanson is a fifth year Ph.D. student in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. She received her undergraduate with honors degree in Chemistry from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana.

While at Valparaiso University, Carly, under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Holt, researched host-guest complexes of modified β-Cyclodextrins. Since continuing onto Loyola, Carly joined Dr. James Devery's lab developing methodology to elucidate the solution behavior of Lewis acid-carbonyl complexes.
