Biography

My research interests are developmental evolution, regeneration, gene regulation and cell type evolution. During my Ph.D. I studied the molecular mechanisms and gene regulatory networks during early patterning of the sea urchin embryo. My current research as a postdoctoral researcher focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying whole-body regeneration in the cnidarian sea anemone Nematostella vectensis.
