&#x4ECE;&#x751F;&#x7269;&#x5B66;&#x7684;&#x6570;&#x5B66;&#x6A21;&#x578B;&#x548C;&#x80CC;&#x5230;&#xFF1A; &#x5EFA;&#x6A21;&#x5230;&#x751F;&#x7269;&#x5B66;&#x5B66;&#x751F;&#x548C;&#x751F;&#x7269;&#x5B66;&#x4E0A;&#x7684;&#x6570;&#x5B66;&#x548C;&#x5DE5;&#x7A0B;&#x7684;&#x5B66;&#x751F;&#x7684;&#x6559;&#x5B66;&#x3002;

We describe the development of a course to teach modeling and mathematical analysis skills to students of biology and to teach biology to students with strong backgrounds in mathematics, physics, or engineering. The two groups of students have different ways of learning material and often have strong negative feelings toward the area of knowledge that they find difficult. To give students a sense of mastery in each area, several complementary approaches are used in the course: 1) a "live" textbook that allows students to explore models and mathematical processes interactively; 2) benchmark problems providing key skills on which students make continuous progress; 3) assignment of students to teams of two throughout the semester; 4) regular one-on-one interactions with instructors throughout the semester; and 5) a term project in which students reconstruct, analyze, extend, and then write in detail about a recently published biological model. Based on student evaluations and comments, an attitude survey, and the quality of the students' term papers, the course has significantly increased the ability and willingness of biology students to use mathematical concepts and modeling tools to understand biological systems, and it has significantly enhanced engineering students' appreciation of biology.

From biology to mathematical models and back: teaching modeling to biology students, and biology to math and engineering students.

Nous d&#xE9;crivons le d&#xE9;veloppement d&#x26;#39;un cours pour enseigner la mod&#xE9;lisation et les comp&#xE9;tences d&#x26;#39;analyse math&#xE9;matiques &#xE0; des &#xE9;tudiants de la biologie et &#xE0; enseigner la biologie aux &#xE9;tudiants ayant un solide bagage en math&#xE9;matiques, en physique ou en g&#xE9;nie. Les deux groupes d&#x26;#39;&#xE9;l&#xE8;ves ont des fa&#xE7;ons diff&#xE9;rentes de mat&#xE9;riel d&#x26;#39;apprentissage et ont souvent de forts sentiments n&#xE9;gatifs &#xE0; l&#x26;#39;&#xE9;gard du domaine de la connaissance qu&#x26;#39;ils trouvent difficile. Pour donner aux &#xE9;l&#xE8;ves un sentiment de ma&#xEE;trise dans chaque domaine, plusieurs approches compl&#xE9;mentaires sont utilis&#xE9;es dans le cadre: 1) un &#x26;quot;live&#x26;quot; manuel qui permet aux &#xE9;tudiants d&#x26;#39;explorer des mod&#xE8;les et des processus math&#xE9;matiques de mani&#xE8;re interactive; 2) les probl&#xE8;mes de r&#xE9;f&#xE9;rence fournissant des comp&#xE9;tences cl&#xE9;s sur lesquels les &#xE9;l&#xE8;ves &#xE0; faire en continu les progr&#xE8;s accomplis; 3) l&#x26;#39;affectation des &#xE9;l&#xE8;ves &#xE0; des &#xE9;quipes de deux au long du semestre; 4) r&#xE9;guli&#xE8;rement en t&#xEA;te-&#xE0;-un les interactions avec les instructeurs au long du semestre, et 5) d&#x26;#39;un projet terme dans lequel les &#xE9;l&#xE8;ves de reconstruire, d&#x26;#39;analyser, de proroger, puis d&#x26;#39;&#xE9;crire en d&#xE9;tail sur un mod&#xE8;le r&#xE9;cemment publi&#xE9; biologique. Wir beschreiben die Entwicklung eines Kurses zu Modellierung und mathematische Analyse-F&auml;higkeiten f&uuml;r Studierende der Biologie zu lehren und zu Biologie Studenten mit starken Hintergrund in Mathematik, Physik oder Technik zu lehren. Die zwei Gruppen von Studenten haben verschiedene M&ouml;glichkeiten, Schulungsunterlagen und haben oft starke negative Gef&uuml;hle gegen&uuml;ber den Raum des Wissens, die sie schwierig finden. Um Sch&uuml;ler ein Gef&uuml;hl der Selbstbestimmung in jedem Bereich geben, mehrere komplement&auml;re Ans&auml;tze werden im Kurs verwendet: 1) ein &quot;live&quot; Lehrbuch, mit dem Studenten Modelle und mathematische Prozesse interaktiv; erkunden kann 2) Benchmark-Probleme, die Bereitstellung von Schl&uuml;sselqualifikationen, die auf denen Studenten kontinuierliche Fortschritte machen; 3) Zuordnung der Studierenden zu zweit w&auml;hrend des Semesters; 4) regelm&auml;&szlig;ig zu-eins-Interaktionen mit Instruktoren w&auml;hrend des Semesters; und 5) ein Begriff-Projekt, in dem Studenten rekonstruieren, analysieren, erweitern und dann im Detail &uuml;ber ein k&uuml;rzlich ver&ouml;ffentlichtes biologischen Modell schreiben. Basierend auf Student-Bewertungen und Kommentare, eine Attitude-Studie und die Qualit&auml;t der Studenten Seminararbeiten, der Kurs hat deutlich erh&ouml;ht die F&auml;higkeit und Bereitschaft der Biologie der Studenten, mathematische Konzepte und Modelling-Tools verwenden, um biologische Systeme zu verstehen, und es wurde ma&szlig;geblich verbessert, Ingenieurstudenten Aufwertung der Biologie.

Descriviamo lo sviluppo di un corso per insegnare le abilit&agrave; di analisi modellistica e matematica a studenti di biologia e di insegnare biologia agli studenti con sfondi forti in matematica, fisica o ingegneria. I due gruppi di studenti hanno diversi modi di materiale di apprendimento e spesso hanno forti sentimenti negativi verso l&#39;area di conoscenza che trovano difficile. Per dare agli studenti un senso di padronanza in ogni zona, diversi approcci complementari vengono utilizzati nel corso: 1) un libro di testo &quot;live&quot; che permette agli studenti di esplorare modelli e processi matematici in modo interattivo; 2) benchmark problemi fornendo competenze chiave su cui gli studenti fanno continuo progresso; 3) assegnazione degli studenti a squadre di due per tutto il semestre; 4) normali interazioni individuali con istruttori in tutto il semestre; e 5) un progetto a termine in cui gli studenti ricostruiscono, analizzare, estendono e quindi scrivere in dettaglio su un modello biologico recentemente pubblicato. Basato su commenti e valutazioni degli studenti, un&#39;indagine di atteggiamento e la qualit&agrave; delle tesine degli studenti, il corso ha aumentato significativamente la capacit&agrave; e la volont&agrave; degli studenti di biologia di utilizzare concetti matematici e strumenti di modellazione per comprendere i sistemi biologici, e ha migliorato in modo significativo apprezzamento studenti di ingegneria di biologia.

Se describe el desarrollo de un curso para ense&#xF1;ar a la modelizaci&#xF3;n y el an&#xE1;lisis de las habilidades matem&#xE1;ticas de los estudiantes de la biolog&#xED;a y la biolog&#xED;a para ense&#xF1;ar a los estudiantes con una s&#xF3;lida formaci&#xF3;n en matem&#xE1;ticas, f&#xED;sica, o la ingenier&#xED;a. Los dos grupos de estudiantes tienen diferentes maneras de aprender el material y con frecuencia tienen fuertes sentimientos negativos hacia el &#xE1;rea de conocimiento que les resulta dif&#xED;cil. Para dar a los estudiantes un sentido de dominio en cada &#xE1;rea, varios enfoques complementarios se utilizan en el curso: 1) un &#x26;quot;en vivo&#x26;quot; libro de texto que permite a los estudiantes a explorar los modelos y procesos matem&#xE1;ticos de forma interactiva, 2) los problemas de referencia que proporcionan las competencias clave en los que los estudiantes hacen continua el progreso, y 3) asignaci&#xF3;n de estudiantes a equipos de dos personas durante todo el semestre, y 4) regular de uno-a-uno interacciones con los instructores durante todo el semestre, y 5) un proyecto de largo en el que los estudiantes reconstruir, analizar, ampliar, y luego escribir en detalle sobre un modelo recientemente publicado biol&#xF3;gica.
