Risk factors associated with the prevalence of neck and shoulder pain among high school students: a cross-sectional survey in China.

Ferroptosis is a form of regulated cell death that was first formally proposed a decade ago. While its role in cancer cell death was initially understudied, it has recently gained considerable interest from researchers. In recent years, a growing number of studies have focused on the role of ferroptosis in cancer progression, with the goal of developing novel ferroptosis-inducing cancer therapies. This study aims to present the developmental trend and hotspots of research on ferroptosis-inducing cancer therapy using bibliometric analysis. A literature search was conducted using the Web of Science Core Collection on October 1st, 2022, to retrieve articles and reviews pertaining to ferroptosis and cancer published from 2012 to 2022. Microsoft Excel 2016, VOSviewer 1.6.18 and CiteSpace (version 6.1. R6) were utilized to conduct the bibliometric analysis of publication trends, authorship, and citation networks, with a focus on identifying countries, institutions, journals, and authors contributing to the field. These analyses were used to predict future trends in this area. A total of 2839 articles were identified and extracted for analysis. The number of publications has increased almost every year, with a sharp increase after 2018. China produced the most publications in this area, followed by the United States. Central South University was the institution that published the most papers.  was the journal with the highest number of publications, while  had the greatest impact factor. Daolin Tang was the most productive author and Dixon SJ was the most influential author. Co-occurrence and burst analyses of keywords and references were conducted to identify the developmental trends and hotspots in ferroptosis-inducing cancer therapy research. Main research directions have shifted from investigating the mechanism of ferroptosis to developing novel ferroptosis-targeting cancer therapies. Emerging topicsfocus on the role of ferroptosis in solid tumor therapy. Based on our bibliometric analysis, we predict that research on ferroptosis in cancer therapy will continue to be a hot topic in the future, with a growing number of treatment modalities related to ferroptosis being developed. Our study provides valuable insights into the current state and future trends of research in this field, serving as a useful guide for researchers seeking to make important contributions in this area.

A bibliometric study and visualization analysis of ferroptosis-inducing cancer therapy.

Adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene therapy is a promising approach for treating ocular monogenic or acquired diseases, though immunogenicity and safety remain critical considerations. We conducted a systematic review of 120 trials and 32 publications to assess immune responses across different delivery routes. Intravitreal administration was associated with higher rates of anterior uveitis (43.06% vs. 10.22%) and intermediate/posterior uveitis (40.36% vs. 6.18%) compared to subretinal delivery. Engineered AAV capsids, used exclusively in intravitreal studies, showed no significant difference in either type of uveitis incidence compared to natural serotypes. Prophylactic immunosuppression (PI) did not affect ocular or systemic immune responses in subretinal delivery, but significantly reduced systemic immune responses in intravitreal administration. These findings underscore the potential of PI to mitigate systemic immune responses in intravitreal AAV therapy. This review should help guide the choice of routes of administration and immunosuppression strategies, and highlights current trends in ocular AAV gene therapy.

The clinical safety landscape for ocular AAV gene therapies: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

: Retinal vascular occlusion (RVO) and retinal artery occlusion (RAO) have been reported as rare adverse events following COVID-19 vaccination, raising concerns about vaccine safety. This review synthesizes cohort and case-control studies assessing the association between COVID-19 vaccines and RVO/RAO, while exploring potential pathophysiological mechanisms. : We analyzed large-scale population-based studies from South Korea, Europe, and the TriNetX database, focusing on odds ratios (OR), hazard ratios (HR), and relative risks (RR) across mRNA and adenoviral vector vaccines. Pathological processes were hypothesized based on molecular and clinical evidence. : Studies investigating the association between COVID-19 vaccination and retinal vascular occlusion show conflicting results; some studies report no association (e.g., OR 0.93, 95% CI 0.60-1.45), others suggest reduced risk (e.g., OR 0.80, 95% CI 0.64-0.99), and one indicates increased risk over two years (HR 2.19, 95% CI 2.00-2.39). Adenoviral vector vaccines, particularly ChAdOx1, show higher RAO incidence in specific cohorts. Proposed mechanisms include vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) via anti-PF4 antibodies, spike protein-mediated endothelial dysfunction, and adjuvant-driven inflammation. : While causality remains unproven, temporal heterogeneity and vaccine type-specific risks warrant further investigation. Longitudinal studies with robust controls are needed to clarify these associations in the post-pandemic context.

Retinal Vascular Occlusion Following COVID-19 Vaccination: A Comprehensive Review of Observational Study and Pathophysiological Mechanisms.

Evidence has revealed that socioeconomic deprivation (SED) could enhance the hazard of particulate matter on health. However, the relationship between SED, ultrafine particles (UFPs), and the development of glaucoma remains uninvestigated. We aim to estimate the association between UFPs, SED, and glaucoma. Additionally, the potential modifiers of this association are also explored.
