Shenfu (SF) injection, a traditional Chinese medication, would improve microcirculation in cardiogenic shock and infectious shock. This study was aimed to explore the therapeutic potential of the SF injection in gut ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury after severe hemorrhagic shock (SHS) and resuscitation. Furthermore, we also investigated the optimal adm？ inistration timing.

Wulanwendusu-11 (WLWDS-11) is a commonly used Mongolian medicine for treating cardiovascular diseases. However, its regulating effect on intestinal flora-host metabolism in relieving chronic myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) is still unclear. Therefore, this study aims to systematically explore the cardioprotective mechanism of WLWDS-11 from the perspective of metabolic interaction between intestinal microbiota and host.

Anorectal abscess and cryptoglandular anal fistula are common conditions with high recurrence rates, reflecting an incomplete understanding of their pathophysiology. A classic, yet unproven hypothesis proposes that high androgen levels increase infection risk by stimulating anal gland secretion, potentially explaining the male predominance. However, direct evidence regarding sex hormone levels in patients remains scarce. We hypothesized that active perianal infection is associated with significantly altered testosterone (T) levels.
