当两个物体相互作用时,两者都会受到大小相等、方向相反的力。这是牛顿第三定律的表述。

如果矢量 FAB 表示物体A对物体B施加的力,而矢量FBA表示物体B对物体A施加的力,则牛顿第三运动定律在数学上可表示为矢量FAB等于矢量FBA的负值。

第一个物体施加的力称为"作用力",而该物体因其自身作用所受到的力则称为"反作用力"。

"作用力-反作用力” 总是作用在不同物体上,且在同一时刻发生。该定律在分析静止物体以及加速运动物体的受力时具有重要意义。
