Montage Creation

Montage creation is the process of combining multiple images into a single organized composite, allowing biological structures, specimens, or experimental conditions to be viewed and compared efficiently. In microscopy and biological imaging, images are selected, cropped, aligned, and arranged into a tiled layout while consistent scale, labeling, and display settings preserve meaningful visual relationships. Montages can present different fields of view, developmental stages, treatment groups, or imaging channels in one figure. This approach improves documentation and communication, supports qualitative comparisons across samples, and helps researchers identify spatial patterns or changes that may be difficult to interpret from separate images.
