Sampling Discharge Points

Sampling discharge points are designated locations in an engineered water or wastewater system where effluent is collected for measurement and regulatory assessment. They are selected to provide representative samples at the final outlet or another controlled point, with grab or flow-weighted composite sampling used according to discharge variability and monitoring objectives. Proper access, sample preservation, flow measurement, and chain-of-custody procedures help produce reliable results for pollutant compliance, treatment performance evaluation, process optimization, and environmental protection.

RC Circuits: Discharging A Capacitor

2025

One of the applications of an RC circuit is the relaxation oscillator. The relaxation oscillator comprises a voltage source, a capacitor, a resistor, and a neon lamp. The lamp acts like an open circuit (infinite resistance) until the potential difference across the neon lamp reaches a specific voltage. At that voltage, the lamp acts like a short circuit (zero resistance), and the capacitor discharges through the neon lamp and produces light. Once the capacitor is fully discharged through the...

Effects of Different Connection Modes of Electroacupuncture on Electrocardiogram and Nerve Discharge in Rats

2025

Until now, there is no uniform method for electroacupuncture connection in clinical and fundamental research. We present a protocol that attempted to compare the effects of different connection methods on electrocardiogram (ECG) and neural discharge in rats to explore the most appropriate way to connect the electroacupuncture instrument.
