Ultra-wide-band Antenna

An ultra-wideband antenna is a radiating structure designed to operate effectively across a broad continuous range of frequencies, making it valuable for high-data-rate and frequency-agile wireless systems. Its wide bandwidth results from geometries and feeding arrangements that maintain broadband impedance matching, efficient radiation, and low signal reflection over the intended frequency range. In engineering, designers evaluate parameters such as bandwidth, gain, radiation pattern, polarization, and voltage standing-wave ratio to balance performance with size and fabrication constraints. Ultra-wideband antennas support applications including short-range communications, radar, imaging, localization, and sensing, where broad spectral coverage can improve resolution, transmission capacity, and system flexibility.

When two or more atoms come together to form a molecule, their atomic orbitals combine and molecular orbitals of distinct energies result. In a solid, there are a large number of atoms, and therefore a large number of atomic orbitals that may be combined into molecular orbitals. These groups of molecular orbitals are so closely placed together to form continuous regions of energies, known as the bands. The energy difference between these bands is known as the band gap. Conductor, Semiconductor,...

Plants and other photosynthetic organisms comprise pigments capable of absorption of direct sunlight. These pigments are present in the reaction center - the main site of photochemical reactions as well as in the antenna complex. Under average light conditions, the rate at which reaction center pigments absorb light is far below the electron transport chain's capacity. As a result, the reaction center alone cannot provide enough energy to drive photosynthesis. The photosynthetic efficiency can...
