Kyeong Kyu Kim

Professor
Prof. Kyeong Kyu Kim received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Seoul National University in 1994 and completed postdoctoral training at the University of California, Berkeley. He began his independent career as an assistant professor at Gyeongsang National University in 1998 and moved to Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine in 2000, where he became a full professor in 2008. He is currently Director of the Biomedical Institute for Convergence (BICS) at Sungkyunkwan University and CEO of Cellapeutics Bio. He previously served as President of the Division of Biological Chemistry of the Korean Chemical Society and of the Korean Biophysics Society. Prof. Kim has received numerous national awards throughout his career, most recently a Commendation from the Ministry of Science and ICT. His research focuses on the structural and functional studies of noncanonical nucleic acids and the development of innovative therapies through cell reprogramming, cellular rejuvenation, and in vivo cell programming.
