Lizanne obtained her PhD degree from the National Centre for Cell Science, Pune, India. During her doctorate degree she researched novel roles for nucleoporins in the cytosol. While her PhD work focused on cell biology and cell signalling pathways, she is keen to gain insights and stay updated with the discoveries in varied fields of biology and science, in general. She wishes to contribute to the advances in science by fostering impactful research communication. As a Science Editor, she is excited to interact with scientists from different disciplines, understand the scope of their research methodologies and assist them in their publication journey. In her free time, she enjoys reading, particularly fantasy-fiction novels, arts and crafts as well as cooking. lizanne.oliveira@jove.com
