Newton's Third Law: Examples

Newtons drittes Gesetz besagt, dass jede Handlung eine gleiche und entgegengesetzte Reaktion hervorruft. Dies kann anhand von Beispielen verstanden werden.
Schlägt man mit einem Hammer auf einen Nagel, dringt der Nagel durch die Einwirkungskraft tiefer in das Holz ein. Folglich drückt die durch den Nagel verursachte Kraft den Hammer nach hinten.
Stellen Sie sich einen Mann vor, der auf einem Sessel sitzt. Auf ihn wirkt eine Kraft, die auf die Schwerkraft zurückzuführen ist. Der Sessel übt eine gleiche und entgegengesetzte Normalkraft aus, die ihn im Stillstand hält.
Dies ist jedoch kein "Aktion-Reaktion"-Paar, da die Kräfte auf denselben Körper wirken. Die Schwerkraft, die der Mensch auf der Erde ausübt, ist das Reaktionspaar auf die Anziehungskraft der Erde auf ihn.
Auch als Reaktion auf die Normalkraft des Sessels übt der Mann eine gleiche Kraft auf den Sessel aus. Daher gehorchen nicht nur die Kontaktkräfte, sondern auch die berührungslosen Kräfte, wie z. B. die Kraft durch die Schwerkraft, dem dritten Newtonschen Gesetz.

Newtons drittes Gesetz besagt, dass jede Aktion eine gleichwertige und entgegengesetzte Reaktion hervorruft. Betrachten wir einen Schwimmer, der sich von der Seite eines Pools abstößt. Sie drücken mit ihren Füßen gegen die Wand eines Pools und beschleunigen in die entgegengesetzte Richtung des Drucks. Dies geschieht, weil die Wand eine gleichwertige und entgegengesetzte Kraft auf den Schwimmer ausübt. Hier heben sich die Kräfte nicht gegenseitig auf, da sie auf verschiedene Systeme wirken. In diesem Fall gibt es zwei Systeme: den Schwimmer und die Wand. Wenn wir den Schwimmer als unser betrachtetes System wählen, ist die Kraft der Wand auf die Füße eine externe Kraft auf dieses System und beeinflusst seine Bewegung. Daher bewegt sich der Schwimmer in Richtung dieser Kraft. Im Gegensatz dazu wirkt die Kraft der Füße auf die Wand, nicht auf unser betrachtetes System. Daher beeinflusst die Kraft der Füße auf die Wand die Bewegung des Systems nicht unmittelbar und hebt die Kraft der Wand auf die Füße nicht auf. Der Schwimmer drückt in die entgegengesetzte Richtung, in die er sich bewegen möchte. Die Reaktion auf den Druck erfolgt daher in die gewünschte Richtung.

Newton's third law explains how forces come in pairs during motion. It says that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. In these examples, the two forces act on different systems, so they do not cancel each other out.

A swimmer pushing off the side of a pool shows this clearly. The swimmer pushes against the wall with their feet and then accelerates in the opposite direction. The wall pushes back with an equal and opposite force. If the swimmer is the system of interest, the wall's force on the feet is an external force that changes the swimmer's motion. The force of the feet on the wall acts on the wall, not on the swimmer, so it does not cancel the wall's force on the swimmer.

The swimmer moves opposite the direction of the push, but that is the direction they want to go. The reaction force is therefore useful in producing motion. The same pattern appears in other real situations.

A professor pacing in front of a whiteboard pushes backward on the floor. The floor pushes forward on the professor and helps the professor accelerate forward. When a person pulls down on a vertical rope, the rope pulls up on the person. Helicopters also use this law. They push air downward and experience an upward reaction force that creates lift.
