An Introduction to Mechanics

Die Mechanik ist ein Zweig der Physik, der sich mit der Untersuchung des Zustands eines Objekts in Ruhe oder Bewegung unter Einwirkung von Kräften befasst.
T wird im Allgemeinen in die Starrkörpermechanik, die Mechanik des verformbaren Körpers und die Strömungsmechanik eingeteilt.
Die Starrkörpermechanik befasst sich mit Objekten, bei denen die Verformung unter Einwirkung von Kräften vernachlässigbar ist.
Es kann in Statik und Dynamik verzweigt werden. Die Statik befasst sich mit dem Zustand der Objekte, die sich in Ruhe befinden, während die Dynamik sich mit den Objekten in Bewegung befasst.
Die Dynamik wird weiter in Kinematik und Kinetik unterteilt, wobei die für die Bewegung verantwortlichen Kräfte vernachlässigt bzw. berücksichtigt werden.
Die Mechanik des verformbaren Körpers untersucht die Verformung eines Objekts unter der Einwirkung von Kräften.
Die Lehre von der Bewegung und den Kräften von Fluiden wird als Strömungsmechanik bezeichnet. Es wird weiter in kompressible und inkompressible Flüssigkeiten eingeteilt.
Die Konstruktion und Analyse von Strukturen wie Gebäuden, Blattfedern in Automobilen, Kranhaken, pneumatischen Nagelpistolen, hydraulischen Bremssystemen und Industrierobotern basiert auf den Prinzipien der Mechanik.

Menschen haben seit Jahrhunderten Schiffe, Unterkünfte, Pyramiden, Waffen, landwirtschaftliche Geräte und viele weitere Gegenstände hergestellt, ohne den Prozess oder die Theorie dahinter aufzuzeichnen. Es wäre herausfordernd, die Entwicklung der Mechanik von ihren Ursprüngen bis zur Gegenwart zu dokumentieren. Laut Aufzeichnungen beginnt die Geschichte der Mechanik mit Aristoteles (384-322 v. Chr.). Er brachte die Mechanik mit der physikalischen Theorie in Verbindung und strebte eine universelle Synthese an. Newton definierte Mechanik als den Zweig der physikalischen Wissenschaft, der den Zustand eines Objekts im Ruhezustand oder in Bewegung unter dem Einfluss von Kräften untersucht. Mechanik ist ein grundlegender Bereich der Physik mit bedeutenden Anwendungen in verschiedenen Bereichen von Ingenieurwesen und Wissenschaft. Die Studie der Mechanik ist wichtig, um die Bewegung von alltäglichen Objekten, das Verhalten von Maschinen und Geräten und die Funktionsweise unterschiedlicher Systeme zu verstehen. Das Verständnis des Verhaltens von Materialien, wie sie in der Bau- oder Fertigungsindustrie verwendet werden, und die Konstruktion und Analyse unterschiedlicher Strukturen sind entscheidend. Die Strömungsmechanik ist die Untersuchung der Bewegung und Kräfte von Fluiden. Es ist ein umfangreiches Gebiet und wird je nach Verhalten in kompressible und inkompressible Fluide unterteilt. Die Strömungsmechanik hat viele praktische Anwendungen und wird bei der Konstruktion und Analyse verschiedener Systeme wie hydraulischer oder pneumatischer Systeme, Fluidtransportsysteme und chemischer Verarbeitungsanlagen eingesetzt. Mechanics is a key branch of physics that explains how objects stay at rest or move when forces act on them. It also has major uses in engineering and science. The topic helps students understand everyday motion, machine behavior, and the way many systems work.

The recorded history of mechanics begins with Aristotle, who lived from 384 to 322 BC. He linked mechanics with physical theory and looked for a broad universal explanation. Later, Newton defined mechanics as the study of objects at rest or in motion under the action of forces.

Rigid body mechanics deals with objects that do not deform much when forces act on them. This area is divided into statics and dynamics. Statics studies objects at rest, while dynamics studies objects in motion.

Dynamics is further divided into kinematics and kinetics. Kinematics describes motion without focusing on the forces that cause it. Kinetics includes those forces and explains how they affect motion.

Deformable body mechanics focuses on how objects change shape under force. This is important for understanding materials used in construction and manufacturing. It also helps in the design and analysis of structures.

Fluid mechanics studies the motion of fluids and the forces within them. It is often divided into compressible and incompressible fluids, based on how the fluid behaves. This field is used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, fluid transportation, and chemical processing equipment.

Principles of mechanics guide the design of many structures and machines. Buildings and bridges are analyzed for material strength, gravity, and earth movement. The same ideas also apply to automobile leaf springs, hydraulic braking systems, crane hooks, industrial robots, and pneumatic nail guns.
