Die Gerätekalibrierung gewährleistet eine genaue Messung ohne bestimmte Fehler.
Unter Kalibrierung versteht man die Justierung des gemessenen Signals eines Instruments mit Hilfe eines Normals. Zum Beispiel muss eine Analysenwaage, die die Masse misst, gegen ein Standardgewicht als Referenz kalibriert werden.
Hier sind noch bestimmte Fehler über den Luftauftrieb möglich, der ein Objekt in der Luft leichter macht als im Vakuum. Jede Diskrepanz in der Dichte zwischen dem zu wiegenden Objekt und den Kalibriergewichten wird durch eine Korrektur des Gewichts des Objekts behoben.
Das Verhältnis zwischen dem wahren Gewicht eines Objekts und seinem Gewicht in der Luft berücksichtigt die Dichte des Objekts, das Kalibriergewicht und die Luft unter Standardlaborbedingungen.
Das Ausmaß der Diskrepanz zwischen Do und Dw hat direkten Einfluss auf den Fehler im gemessenen Gewicht.
Bei der Kalibrierung von Spektralphotometern werden Standardlösungen mit bekannten Analytkonzentrationen hergestellt. Durch die Messung wird eine Kalibrierkurve erstellt, mit der die unbekannte Konzentration bestimmt wird.

Diese Standardgewichte dienen als Referenzen, um genaue Massenmessungen sicherzustellen. Analysenwaagen können durch externe Faktoren wie den Luftauftrieb beeinflusst werden, der ein gewichtetes Objekt im Vakuum leichter erscheinen lässt als sein tatsächliches Gewicht. Zur Kalibrierung der Waage wird eine Auftriebskorrektur angewendet, wobei die Dichte des Objekts, die Luftdichte und die Kalibrierungsgewichte berücksichtigt werden. Durch die Berücksichtigung des durch den Luftauftrieb verursachten Bestimmungsfehlers bietet die Analysenwaage eine genauere und zuverlässigere Messung des tatsächlichen Gewichts des Objekts.

Kalibrierung eines Spektralphotometers

Die Kalibrierung eines Spektralphotometers, eines Instruments, das die Lichtabsorption einer Lösung misst, unterscheidet sich von der Massenmessung. Dabei wird eine Kalibrierungskurve unter Verwendung von Standardlösungen mit bekannten Analytkonzentrationen erstellt. Der Prozess beginnt mit der Herstellung einer Reihe von Standardlösungen, die typischerweise von niedrigen bis hohen Konzentrationen reichen, um eine breite Kalibrierungskurve zu bilden. Die Absorption jeder Standardlösung wird dann mit dem Spektralphotometer gemessen. Das Spektralphotometer strahlt Licht durch die Lösung und misst die vom Analyten absorbierte Lichtmenge.

Die Absorptionswerte werden gegen die bekannten Konzentrationen aufgetragen. Gemäß dem Lambert-Beerschen Gesetz sollte diese Darstellung eine gerade Linie bilden, die eine direkte Beziehung zwischen Konzentration und Absorption zeigt. Sobald die Kalibrierungskurve erstellt ist, wird die Absorption der unbekannten Lösung gemessen. Dieser Absorptionswert hilft dabei, die entsprechende Konzentration des Analyten in der unbekannten Lösung aus der Kalibrierungskurve zu bestimmen.

These weights act as references for correct mass measurements. Air buoyancy can affect the balance because it can make a weighted object seem lighter than it really is in a vacuum.

A buoyancy correction is used to adjust for that error. The correction depends on the object&amp;#39;s density, the air density, and the calibration weights. By accounting for the determinate error caused by air buoyancy, the analytical balance gives a more accurate reading of an object&amp;#39;s true weight.

A spectrophotometer is calibrated in a different way because it measures how much light a solution absorbs. The process uses a calibration curve made from standard solutions with known analyte concentrations. First, a series of standards is prepared from low to high concentration to create a broad curve. Then each standard is measured for absorbance.

The spectrophotometer shines light through the solution and records how much is absorbed by the analyte. The absorbance values are plotted against the known concentrations. According to the Beer-Lambert law, the plot should be a straight line, showing a direct link between concentration and absorbance. After the curve is made, an unknown solution can be measured, and its absorbance is used to find the analyte concentration from the curve.
