Um die Gleichung um den Gleichgewichtspunkt zu linearisieren, betrachten Sie die Zustandsvariablen, die um den Gleichgewichtspunkt gestört sind.
Die Taylor-Reihen-Approximation wird verwendet und gelöst, was zu linearen Zustandsgleichungen führt.
Betrachten Sie ein nichtlineares Federsystem. Formulieren Sie eine Differentialgleichung und führen Sie eine kleine Störung ein.
Diese Gleichung wird dann linearisiert. Setzt man diese ein und führt die Differenzierung durch, erhält man die linearisierte Zwischendifferentialgleichung.

Nichtlineare Systeme erfordern oft anspruchsvolle Ansätze für eine genaue Modellierung und Analyse, wobei die Zustandsraumdarstellung besonders effektiv ist. Diese Methode ist besonders nützlich für Systeme, bei denen Variablen und Parameter mit der Zeit oder den Betriebsbedingungen variieren, wie beispielsweise bei einem einfachen Pendel oder einem translatorischen mechanischen System mit nichtlinearen Federn.

Bei einem einfachen Pendel, dessen Masse gleichmäßig über die Länge verteilt ist und dessen Schwerpunkt sich auf der halben Pendellänge befindet, kann das dynamische Verhalten durch die Summierung der Drehmomente um den Drehpunkt erfasst werden. Die resultierende Differentialgleichung berücksichtigt die Auswirkungen der Schwerkraft und des angewandten Drehmoments. Um dies in Form eines Zustandsraums darzustellen, werden Zustandsvariablen gewählt, die die Position und Geschwindigkeit des Systems beschreiben. Diese Zustandsvariablen führen zur Formulierung von Zustandsgleichungen, die die zeitliche Entwicklung des Systems beschreiben.

Bei der Linearisierung dieser nichtlinearen Zustandsgleichungen um einen Gleichgewichtspunkt müssen kleine Störungen berücksichtigt werden. Durch Störung der Zustandsvariablen um ihre Gleichgewichtswerte und Anwendung einer Taylor-Reihenentwicklung können die nichtlinearen Terme durch ihre linearen Gegenstücke angenähert werden. Diese Annäherung ergibt lineare Zustandsgleichungen, die mithilfe der linearen Systemtheorie analysiert werden können.

Im Fall eines translatorischen mechanischen Systems mit einer nichtlinearen Feder wird die Dynamik des Systems in ähnlicher Weise durch eine Differentialgleichung bestimmt, die die nichtlineare Federkraft berücksichtigt. Durch Einbringen einer kleinen Störung um die Gleichgewichtsposition herum kann die Differentialgleichung linearisiert werden. Die Gleichgewichtskraft bei x_0 (der Gleichgewichtsposition) wird berechnet und die gestörte Gleichung wird differenziert, um eine linearisierte Differentialgleichung zu erhalten.

Die endgültige linearisierte Zustandsraumdarstellung umfasst die Auswahl geeigneter Zustandsvariablen, zu denen häufig die Position und Geschwindigkeit der Masse gehören. Anschließend werden Zustandsgleichungen und Ausgabegleichungen formuliert. Durch die Umwandlung dieser Gleichungen in Vektormatrixform erhält man ein umfassendes lineares Modell des Systems. Dieses Modell kann mithilfe verschiedener linearer Steuerungs- und Approximationstechniken analysiert werden, was die Entwicklung und Implementierung von Steuerungsstrategien für Systeme erleichtert, die von Natur aus nichtlinear sind.

Linearizing nonlinear state-space models helps describe systems that change with time or operating conditions. State-space representation is often effective for this kind of modeling. It is especially useful for systems such as a simple pendulum or a translational mechanical system with nonlinear springs.

A simple pendulum can be modeled by summing torques around the pivot point. In this case, the mass is evenly distributed along the pendulum, and the center of mass is located at half its length. The resulting differential equation includes gravitational force and any applied torque. State variables are then chosen to represent position and velocity.

These state variables lead to state equations, which describe how the system changes over time. To study the system near an equilibrium point, small perturbations are added to the state variables. A Taylor series expansion is then used to approximate the nonlinear terms with linear ones. The result is a set of linear state equations that can be analyzed with linear system theory.

The same idea applies to a translational mechanical system with a nonlinear spring. Its motion is governed by a differential equation that includes the nonlinear spring force. A small perturbation around the equilibrium position allows the equation to be linearized. The equilibrium force at x0, the position of equilibrium, is calculated, and the perturbed equation is differentiated to obtain a linearized differential equation.

The final linearized state-space model uses appropriate state variables, often position and velocity of the mass. State equations and output equations are written in vector-matrix form. This linear model makes it easier to apply linear control and estimation methods to systems that are inherently nonlinear.
