Left Sectoriectomy

Left sectoriectomy is a breast-conserving surgical procedure that removes a localized lesion together with a surrounding portion, or sector, of the left breast while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible. During the operation, the surgeon identifies the target area, excises it with an appropriate margin, and sends the specimen for pathological examination to assess the lesion and the completeness of removal. In biology and clinical research, left sectoriectomy provides a model for studying tissue organization, tumor progression, surgical margins, and healing. Clinically, it can support treatment of selected breast abnormalities while helping maintain breast structure and function.
