Polygon Triangles

Polygon triangles are the triangular regions formed by dividing a polygon into smaller, nonoverlapping parts, a process that simplifies the study of polygonal shapes. Triangulation uses diagonals connecting nonadjacent vertices, with each added diagonal partitioning the polygon until an n-sided polygon contains exactly n−2 triangles; the triangles’ interior angles also show that the polygon’s angle sum is (n−2) × 180°. This method supports calculations of area, perimeter, and angles, and provides a foundation for geometric proofs, computer graphics, surveying, and computational geometry. Understanding polygon triangles helps students connect basic triangle properties with more complex two-dimensional figures.

Similar Triangles

Two triangles are similar when they have the same shape, although their sizes may differ. Similarity depends on specific relationships between the corresponding angles and corresponding sides of the triangles. In similar triangles, each angle in one triangle is equal to its corresponding angle in the other triangle. However, corresponding sides do not necessarily have equal lengths. Instead, all corresponding side lengths change by the same proportional amount, known as the scale factor.The...

Trigonometry of Right Triangles

In a right triangle, trigonometric functions establish specific ratios that describe the relationship between the lengths of the triangle's sides and its acute angles. These relationships are foundational in understanding the structure of right-angled geometry. The sine function quantifies the proportion of the side opposite a given angle compared to the triangle's hypotenuse. In contrast, the cosine function expresses how the side adjacent to the angle relates to the hypotenuse in terms of...

Congruent Triangles

Congruent triangles are triangles that have exactly the same size and shape. Although congruent triangles may have different positions or orientations, their corresponding sides have equal lengths, and their corresponding angles have equal measures. To establish triangle congruence, it is not necessary to verify all six corresponding measurements. Several congruence criteria provide sufficient conditions. The Side-Side-Side (SSS) criterion states that two triangles are congruent when all three...

Here, we present a protocol to perform full-endoscopic trans-Kambin triangle lumbar interbody fusion (KLIF). The protocol utilizes a posterolateral approach via Kambin’s triangle for safe expandable cage insertion and neural decompression while preserving dorsal facet structure and minimizing soft tissue trauma.

Binomial Expansion Using Pascal's Triangle

Expanding a binomial expression such as (a + b)n results in a predictable sequence of terms that can be systematically derived using Pascal’s Triangle. This triangular array of numbers plays a central role in understanding and computing the coefficients of binomial expansions.Pascal’s Triangle is constructed such that each row corresponds to the coefficients of a binomial raised to a power. The topmost row, known as the zeroth row, corresponds to (a + b)0, and each successive row gives the...
