Dicom File Upload

DICOM File Upload is the process of transferring medical imaging files encoded in the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine standard from a local device or imaging system to a clinical, research, or cloud-based platform. The upload preserves both image data and associated metadata, such as patient and study information, while software checks file structure, compatibility, and transfer status. In medicine, this workflow supports image sharing, remote consultation, archiving, and integration with picture archiving and communication systems. Reliable DICOM uploads can improve access to radiological studies and provide organized imaging data for clinical decision-making, education, and research.
