Dissection Preparation

Dissection preparation is the systematic planning and handling of biological specimens before tissues are separated for anatomical or biochemical study. It includes selecting and labeling samples, positioning them for controlled access, and using appropriate instruments and conditions to minimize contamination, damage, and loss of material. In biochemistry, careful preparation supports reliable examination of tissue composition by preserving the distinction between structures and maintaining sample integrity for downstream analysis. This foundational step improves reproducibility and helps connect visible anatomy with molecular findings.
